Fashions Night Out 2011
Wow i haven’t updated this in a while..so I thought, why not start it off with a post over Fashion’s Night Out.
FNO was indeed another big hit for the 3rd consecutive year. Anna Wintor, editor in chief of Vogue magazine, established FNO in a way to keep the fashion world out of recession and financial catastrophe..a mere pitfall of all other EXCESS and wants are slowly going downhill..
I left work early, went back home and eagerly slipped on my outfit that I have picked out especially for the night a long while back. I wore an embellished shoulder white bebe blouse with a beautiful silver herve leger-esq pencil skirt with my sparkly black steve madden pumps. I was debating between Northpark, Highland Park west village, or Dallas Galleria Mall. Galleria had the longest runway catwalk in all of North America built especially for FNO’11. But I ended up sticking to the usual. I was off to northpark with the girls to celebrate the last 2 hours of the festivities. But to my surprise, most of the hype was over already. Gahh, a little too late this year..but not to worry. I’m planning a full vacation day for next year!
It’s time to get ready for Fashion’s Night Out. For the third year in a row, designers, models, fashion editors, celebrities and, of course, shoppers will once again flock to their favorite stores for an extravagant night of shopping, champagne and exclusive FNO events, including some major live music acts. The celebration marks the kickoff to New York Fashion Week—a stylish way to start the season—and the festivities all happen on Thursday, September 8, from 6 to 11pm.American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company and the City of New York created Fashion’s Night Out in 2009 as a collaboration intended to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, boost the industry’s economy and put the fun back in shopping. Proceeds from sales of official FNO gear will benefit the New York Community Trust’s New York City AIDS Fund. Fashions Night Out 2011
